a new abstract of a fallen leaf
A couple days ago, I was picking up my son from camp. As we walked back to the car, I pointed out to him all of these little leaves that littered the sidewalk. My son stopped, picked one up, and handed it to me.

What can I say, the kid’s got a good eye. It’s a tiny leaf, no bigger than my thumbnail. But when it dried, it formed this wonderful tight curl that wound around itself several times. This is why I love to bring him with me on my leaf hunts. It’s so much fun to be able to share my art with him.

Hey now, that is very cool! Really like the simplicity of form and color. We should all see the world through a child’s eyes.
Ahh, that is lovely! Worth the work to get it right.
Wow, amazing macro. I love how it just fades into the background.
I really like the softness in this image. Nice job on both your parts!

Personally, I feel that this is one of your best images created within this series so far.
And to have your son with you who made the choice?
Priceless!
Michael
Thanks everyone for your compliments! I still have a lot of work left to do on this one leaf, but I think this was a great start!
I love it Daniel! Those little ones see so much beauty, I often wonder what’s in their minds when they pick one leave, on rock out of all of the others. What a little treasure!
